Solterra is a hiking apparel website created to showcase my passion for highly visual, story-led digital design. I wanted the site to feel impactful from the first moment, so I began with a short video montage that sets the tone for the brand through photography, movement, and atmosphere.
The retro grain of the video was used to create a nostalgic, intimate, and raw feeling, inspired by the emotion of exploring nature. I carried this through with handwritten marker-style typography and the informal slogan “Summit in Style”, giving the collection a friendly, personal, and adventurous tone.
Throughout the website, I kept the design minimal and sharp-edged, reflecting the rocky landscapes that inspired the brand. Sustainability also played an important role in the concept, with details around tree planting and the core message of “Leave No Trace.” By sourcing royalty-free visuals and memories from hikers around the world, I aimed to create a sense of community and connection between the brand and its audience.
